Getting one last lake trip in before you buckle down for the school year? We don’t blame you! With temperatures in the low 80’s this week, there are plenty of ways for the whole family to take advantage of the crystal clear water of Lake Chelan. Here are some of our favorites!
Tubing
The whole family is guaranteed to have a blast twisting, turning, and winding around the lake, whether they’re in the tube or the boat!
The more daring family members will have fun as you try your hardest to throw them off their tube. You can even ride in pairs to see who can stay on the longest.
As for the less adventurous, even a slow cruise behind the boat can be refreshing and fun! Whatever your speed, a day spent boating and tubing is always a win.
Rent a boat and tubes from Shoreline Watercraft Rentals!

Paddleboarding
Stand up paddleboarding takes some muscle, but pairing up and taking turns paddling can be a family activity that everyone will love.
Sit up front and enjoy a peaceful ride or stand up and give paddling a go for a while. Make it competitive by racing each other or challenging the family to yoga poses while keeping your balance!
However you decide to spend your time paddleboarding, it’s sure to be a huge hit with the entire crew.
You can rent paddleboards from LakeRider Sports at Don Morse Park!
Snorkeling
Exploring the underwater world is fun for all ages. Pick up snorkel gear from Kelly’s Ace Hardware or The Variety Store and hit the water!
You’ll see Lake Chelan as you never have before. Because Lake Chelan’s waters are so clear, you’ll be able to see, well, everything.
You can easily pass an entire afternoon diving in and out of the water, seeing the many fish of Lake Chelan, and finding new places to explore.
The best part is – your crew will be all tuckered out by day’s end and you can head back to your unit to relax and unwind.
