To say we’re stoked for this year’s Winterfest would be a little bit of an understatement.
We’ve been dreaming of drinks at the ice bar, checking out the epic ice sculptures, and dancing the night away. Luckily, if you’re staying at the Grandview, you’re just a two-minute walk from all the festivities of the first weekend, January 17-19!
It’s a jam-packed weekend of winter fun and it’s hard to do ALL the things we want to (but we’re still gonna try).
Here are 5 things you won’t want to miss this Winterfest.
1. Grand Wine Walk
Walk to downtown Chelan via the warmly lit bridge and taste local wines from around the valley.
Stroll the downtown shops and chat with the winemakers about their wine selections.
Whether you’re an experienced wine connoisseur, a total rookie, or if you’re simply along for the ride, you’ll have a blast tasting the best wine the valley has to offer.

Yes, it is a bar made entirely out of ice and it’s one of Winterfest’s most popular attractions year after year.
2. Dance at the Ice Bar
You don’t want to miss out on this fun and unique staple of the Winterfest experience.
How often do you get to dance on the streets of Chelan while getting served at a bar made of ice?? Trade in your drink tickets for your choice of wines, ciders, or beers.
Post up at one of the heaters spread throughout the area or get your groove on to live music at the main stage.
3. Hit the Ice
Watch as the ice carvers sculpt their masterpieces in downtown Chelan.
Grab a cup of coffee or cocoa, take a tour of all the creative sculptures, and pose for a picture in the ice throne. Then on Saturday, cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award.
And don’t forget to take a trip down the ice slide – it’s fun for all ages!

Lovers of sparkling wine can get their bubbly on at Sunday’s Bubble Bar at the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce.
4. Bubbly Bar
Enjoy a Sunday morning brunch and unlimited pours of local sparkling wines like Karma Vineyards and Tsillan Cellars, to name a few.
Learn about the amazing sparkling wine produced in the valley while you sip away.
It’s a perfect cap to a fun-filled, memorable Winterfest weekend!
5. Catch the Fireworks
Watch the colors burst as they reflect on the lake and light up the valley.
Sip on a glass of red wine to toast with or curl up with a cup of hot cocoa while enjoying the show.
Or get in on the action by braving the Polar Bear Splash and warming up at the beach bonfire at Don Morse Park where you’ll be front and center for the fireworks show!
