It’s no secret that this past year has been anything but normal. If you’re dreaming of a break from endless Zoom calls, we have just what you need. Here at Grandview on the Lake, we consider ourselves experts on all things rest and relaxation. Turn off those pesky email notifications for a few days and forget about your daily life stressors. Here are our suggestions for recharging by your favorite lake!
Don't Set That Alarm
You’ve made it to vacation! While you’re here, go to bed without worrying about what time you need to wake up in the morning.
Trust that your body will wake you up when you’re fully rested. And what better way to wake up than with a view of Lake Chelan in the gentle morning sun? Spend a slow morning sipping your coffee and soaking in the view.
Walk It Off
We know life can move fast. Take this time to slow down and recharge. Take a leisurely walk around the Riverwalk Loop, located just across the street from the Grandview.
Watch the ducks float gracefully along and enjoy the sun shining through the trees. Bring your headphones to listen to your favorite music, podcast, or audiobook, or simply take in the peace and quiet of the spring stillness.

Peruse the Shops
Take your time wandering the shops of downtown Chelan, located just across the bridge from the Grandview.
Treat yourself to a new candle or set of earrings from Moonpenny or Posh or pick a new book to dive into at Riverwalk Books. Wander the comforting aisles of Bear Foods Market (grab a fresh bag of popcorn on your way out) or get lost amongst the nuts and bolts at Kelly’s Ace Hardware. Trust us, it’s more fun than it seems!

Sunsets and Wine
There’s nothing quite like watching a Lake Chelan sunset from the balcony of your Grandview unit with a glass of wine in hand.
Pop open a bottle of your favorite Lake Chelan red, white, or rosé and sit back to watch the sun sink behind the mountains. Breathe deep. You’re right where you need to be.

Pack a bath bomb, or pick one up from a local shop, and enjoy a nice, long soak in your Grandview tub.
Light a candle, play your favorite music, grab some wine or a cup of tea, and enjoy some good old-fashioned self-care. It’s the perfect way to end a day of rest and rejuvenation by the lake.
