A snowy day in Lake Chelan is something special. The flakes are falling, coziness is at its peak, and it seems as if time stands still. For the adventurous, this means it’s time to hit the slopes or jump on a snowmobile and tour the surrounding Cascades. For the rest of us, a snow day means staying closer to home and taking it easy. We’ve created a snowy day itinerary full of activities you can walk to from the Grandview so that you and your loved ones can pack in as much fun as possible.
Warm Up with Coffee
A cozy morning drink is the perfect way to start your snow day.
Within walking distance of the Grandview you will find some of the best coffeehouses this side of the mountains. The Vogue is a local favorite and is located right downtown. Kave Roasters and Bakery is a few blocks further but their delectable homemade goodies are not to be missed. Lake Chelan Artisan Bakery is another great coffee destination you can walk to.

Walk through Town
It may be snowing outside, but that won’t stop Chelan’s downtown stores from staying open to serve you. Wander through town and stop in for some great finds. Bonus, you’ll also be supporting small businesses by shopping local!
Need some more knitting yarn? 3 Wild Sheep has you covered. Perhaps you are looking for a new outfit—Main Street Gallery has a wide variety of women’s clothing. It’s also fun to stop by Culinary Apple, their kitchen gadgets are so fun!

Snow Fun in the Park
Grab some sleds at The Variety Store and head to the sledding hill at Don Morse.
If sledding isn’t your thing, there is plenty of space to build a snowman, create a snow fort, or have a snowball fight with your crew. So throw on those snow boots, grab your gloves, and tackle that snowy winter wonderland.
A Cozy Night In
The best way to wind down from the perfect snow day is a cozy night in. Order takeout from your favorite Chelan restaurant, there are so many delicious options!
Our personal faves are the Pasta Bolognese from Andante or a Creamy Chicken Pizza from Local Myth Pizza. Once you’ve got your food in hand, pour a glass of local wine, turn on the fireplace in your unit and watch the flakes fall from your window.
